A story is only interesting because of what one overcomes and works through — so too is life.
Welcome to my story.
Vision 8 000
The climb that I faced in the wake of Traumatic Brain Injury was not a choice.
Left with only 30% eyesight, survival was not a mountain I had any interest in climbing.
My identity – everything about who I was: wrapped up in sport, adventure and independence was lost; or so I thought.
They said I would not survive 3 days; that felt like 3 days too many.
Now embracing impermanence I embrace every climb on life’s trail.
I choose to climb challenging mountains.
I choose to challenge the mountains of my mind.
While climbing all of the world’s 14 peaks that stand above 8 000 m, you will see the stigma associated with traumatic brain injury, vision loss, and eating disorders shattered while I shine light on the power of perspective and possibility.
While climbing all of the world’s 14 peaks that stand above 8 000 m, I aim to break down the stigma associated with traumatic brain injury, vision loss, and eating disorders. Through challenging mountain experiences, I will shine light on the power of perspective and possibility.
Mountains of My Mind: Lost Sight yet Gaining Vision
A story is only interesting because of what one overcomes and works through — so too is life.
In the blink of an eye, I suffered a traumatic brain injury that took 70% of my vision & nearly my life. From the first set of stairs to the highest of the Himalayas, through mountain experiences, I develop acceptance and shine light on the power of perspective and possibility.
Welcome to my story.
Teaming Up with the Mountains of My Mind
An adaptive athlete with unique content and ambitious, inspiring goals’ ahead, contagious energy is fabricated into my story, which I would be grateful to have partners join the supporting cast.
With resilience, optimism, and hope I embrace the climb through life’s chapters and welcome your support.

Ama Dablam Camp 1 Sunrise
The views made acclimatizing to the altitude a beautiful thing.
Time out on the Trail
Smile was as big as the Himalayas surrounding me in the serenity of Khumbu’s silence and sunshine with Vinayak between Ama Dablam’s Camp 1 and Camp 2.
Annapurna Base Camp Ski Mountaineering
First time skiing in the Himalayas was surreal; as was a pandemic forcing us off the mountains and into lockdown.
